Pearl City Pulls Away Late For 13-3 Victory Over Ewa
- It was a tight game until Oahu AJA Baseball Pearl City scored eight late runs for the 13-3 victory over Oahu AJA Baseball Ewa on Thursday at Ala Wai.
- Ryne Oshiro racked up two RBIs on three hits for Oahu AJA Baseball Pearl City. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the eighth innings.
- Cory Yuh got the win for Oahu AJA Baseball Pearl City. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Yuh struck out four, walked six and gave up seven hits.
- Skyler Yamamoto couldn’t get it done on the mound for Oahu AJA Baseball Ewa, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in seven innings, walked one and struck out six.
- The top of the second saw Oahu AJA Baseball Ewa take an early lead, 2-0. Carson Tsuruda got things going for Oahu AJA Baseball Ewa with a single. A single by Matthew Murakami then moved Tsuruda from first to second. Brandon Tanaka singled, scoring Tsuruda. Oahu AJA Baseball Ewa added more runs when Murakami scored on an RBI single by JARIN KOBASHIGAWA.
- It didn’t take long for Oahu AJA Baseball Pearl City to respond as it scored two runs of its own in the third. Oahu AJA Baseball Pearl City scored on a two-run home run by Todd Takabuki.
- The lead stayed with Oahu AJA Baseball Pearl City after the fourth, when it scored two runs on an RBI double by Allen Komori.
