Oahu AJA Baseball Pearl City jumped on Oahu AJA Baseball Sheridan early on its way to a 10-6 win on Sunday at Hans in eight innings, scoring four runs in the first inning.
Oahu AJA Baseball Pearl City scored in the first on a two-run single by Kip Masuda, a groundout by Todd Takabuki, and an RBI single by Cory Yuh.
Masuda racked up five RBIs on three hits for Oahu AJA Baseball Pearl City.
Kale Sumner reached base four times in the game for Oahu AJA Baseball Sheridan. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the third, fifth, and sixth innings.
Nolan Kometani got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered 13 hits.
G Oyadamori lasted two innings on the hill for Oahu AJA Baseball Sheridan before being replaced. Oyadamori allowed six hits and six runs.
Oahu AJA Baseball Pearl City tacked on another two runs in the second. A error scored Charlie Abing for the inning’s first run. That was followed up by Chris Goya‘s single, scoring Chad Takabuki.
Two Oahu AJA Baseball Sheridan runs crossed the plate in the top half of the third, making the score 6-2. An RBI triple by Rick Nomura and a groundout by Reid Matsushima sparked Oahu AJA Baseball Sheridan’s rally. But, Kometani got Jason Takamoto to ground out to end the inning.
Oahu AJA Baseball Pearl City added three more runs in the bottom of the fourth. The inning looked promising, as Masuda singled, plating Takabuki and Goya to kick things off.
Two runs in the top of the fifth helped Oahu AJA Baseball Sheridan close its deficit to 9-4. An RBI single by Takamoto and an RBI double by J Kurokawa triggered Oahu AJA Baseball Sheridan’s comeback. Kometani ended the inning by getting Joey Maekawa to ground out.
One run in the top of the sixth helped Oahu AJA Baseball Sheridan close its deficit to 10-5. An RBI single by Sumner gave Oahu AJA Baseball Sheridan life. Finally, Scott Hiramoto induced an inning-ending from Blaine Hokama.
One run in the top of the seventh helped Oahu AJA Baseball Sheridan close its deficit to 10-6. An RBI single by Nomura sparked Oahu AJA Baseball Sheridan’s rally. The Oahu AJA Baseball Sheridan threat came to an end when Kevin Fujioka finally got Reid Matsushima to ground out.

Tanaka earned the win for Oahu AJA Baseball Ewa. He threw five innings, surrendering one run, two hits, striking out four, and walking one. Hironaka took the loss for Oahu AJA Baseball Mililani. He tossed two innings, surrendering seven runs, five hits, and walking one.
Sing Chow went 1-for-2 at the plate as he led the team with one run batted in. Oahu AJA Baseball Mililani didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jaydon Arakawa had the most chances in the field with 11.
