Playoff Update from League Manager

After 69 games and 3 remaining, two games will decide the Oahu AJA Baseball League Playoffs.  Tonight, McCully will attempt to secure the #2 seed and direct entry into the double elimination Oahu AJA Baseball League Championship Tournament with a victory over Manoa.  On Sunday, Sheridan starts its playoffs early with a must-win game against Pearl City.  Win and they’re in.  Meanwhile, Pearl City looks to secure a higher seed in the playoffs.  Here are the full scenarios:

 

If McCully wins and Pearl City wins:  McCully is the #2 seed, Pearl City is #3 and Waialae is #4.

 

If McCully wins and Pearl City loses:  McCully is the #2 seed, Waialae is #3  and Pearl City is #4.

 

If McCully ties and Pearl City wins:  Waialae is the #2 seed, McCully is #3 and Pearl City is #4.

 

If McCully ties and Pearl City loses: Waialae is the #2 seed, McCully is #3 and Pearl City is #4.

 

If McCully ties and Pearl City ties:  Waialae is the #2 seed, McCully is #3 and Pearl City is #4

 

If McCully loses and Pearl City wins: Pearl City is the #2 seed, Waialae is #3 and McCully is #4.

 

If McCully loses and Pearl City loses: Waialae is the #2 seed, McCully is #3 and Pearl City is #4

 

If McCully loses and Pearl City ties: Waialae is the #2 seed, McCully is #3 and Pearl City is #4

 

If Sheridan wins:  Sheridan is the #6 seed.  Sheridan ties Ewa for 6th place but wins the 6th seed by winning the 1st tiebreaker, head-to-head competition (2-0 vs Ewa).

 

If Sheridan ties:  Ewa is the #6 seed.  Ewa is 6th place with 14 points and Sheridan is 7th place with 13 points.

 

If Sheridan loses:  Ewa is the #6 seed.  Ewa is 6th place with 14 points and Sheridan is 7th place with 12 points.
