Winner takes all!
Sean Milan threw a complete game, four hitter with 9 strike outs as Waipahu held off elimination and defeated Pearl City 9-2 Monday night at Hans L’Orange. Waipahu broke the game open with five runs in the 3rd inning and kept up the offensive pressure every inning. Meanwhile, Milan was throwing a gem, retiring the last 11 batters and did not give up a hit after the third inning.
Waipahu and Pearl City will meet for the third time in the championship tournament Tuesday, 7 p.m. at Hans L’Orange with the two teams splitting the first two meetings. The winner will represent Oahu in the Hawaii State AJA Baseball Championship Tournament, April 5 and 6 on Kauai.
