In the 1st game of Sunday’s (12/28/14) doubleheader at Hans L’Orange Park, Kaneohe defeated Waialae 10 to 9, scoring 4 runs in the 2nd inning and 5 runs in the 6th inning then holding off furious Waialae rallies in the 7th & 8th innings. Waialae’s comeback fell short as the final Waialae batter popped out to end the game on a 3 – 2 2 outs bases loaded pitch in the bottom of the final inning. Ian Wai led Kaneohe with 3 hits while Mark Okano homered over the left field fence for Waialae. Long time player and many times AJA All Star Nolan Tokuda returned after an absence of several years to pitch 2 1/3 shutout innings for Waialae.
