Playoff Update as of Tuesday (2/17/15)

Congratulations to Waialae on its 12-8 victory over McCully and Sheridan for its 13-11 win over Kaneohe.  With the wins, Waialae and Manoa have clinched playoff berths and Manoa has solidified the #5 seed.  With the loss, Kaneohe is eliminated from playoff contention.

 

Here are updated standings:

  1. Waipahu 13-1, 26 points
  2. McCully 11-3, 22 points
  3. Pearl City 9-5, 18 points
  4. Waialae 8-5, 16 points
  5. Manoa 7-9, 14 points
  6. Mililani 6-9, 12 points
  7. Ewa 5-10, 10 points
  8. Kaneohe 3-10, 6 points
  9. Sheridan 2-12, 4 points

 

The final playoff spot is up for grabs tonight as Ewa goes against Waipahu and Mililani will face Pearl City.  Here are the playoff updated scenarios:

 

Ewa, 5-10, next game vs. Waipahu:

Must beat Waipahu on Tuesday and needs Mililani to lose to Pearl City to clinch #6 seed.

 

Manoa, 7-9, regular season complete:

Clinched #5 seed in Championship Tournament.

 

McCully, 11-3, next game vs. Waialae:

Clinched playoff spot.  Will clinch a first round bye with a win or Pearl City or Waialae loss.

 

Mililani, 6-9, next game vs. Pearl City:

Will clinch #6 seed with win vs. Pearl City or Ewa loss.

 

Pearl City, 9-5, next game vs. Mililani:

Clinched playoff spot.  Will clinch a first round bye with wins in last 2 games, McCully loses its last 3 games and McCully gives up 14 or more runs to Waipahu in its last game.

 

Waialae, 8-5, next game vs. McCully:

Clinched playoff spot.  Will move into a tie for 3rd place with a win and Pearl City loss.

 

Waipahu, 13-1, next game vs. Ewa:

Clinched first round bye in championship tournament.  Will clinch top seed with a win or McCully loss.
