Regular Season Complete

With Sheridan’s victory over Kaneohe last night, the 2014-15 regular season is over and we now shift our focus to the playoffs.  Thank you to Ewa, Kaneohe and Sheridan for its participation this season and good luck to Manoa, McCully, Mililani, Pearl City, Waialae and Waipahu in the playoffs.

A reminder of the rules for the playoffs:

  1. Double elimination tournament format with the first round games single elimination and #1 and #2 seeds receiving a bye.

  1. Games are 9-innings and the 10-run ruling after 7 innings applies.

  1. No time limit.

  1. Higher seeded team is the home team.

  1. Except for games at Hans, home team shall line baselines and batter’s boxes, put on bases and fix pitcher’s mound.  Visiting team shall drag and rake if necessary.

  1. Except for games at Hans, winning team shall return bases, drag infield and first and third base lines and fix the pitcher’s mound and batter’s box.

  1. Both teams shall clean their dugouts.

  1. Each team must provide 2 game balls at the start of the game to the umpire.  Teams will alternate providing new balls at the home plate umpire’s request, home team first.

  1. One minute between innings, umpires are asked to strictly enforce this.

We have asked and CORP has verbally agreed to allow AJA Baseball games at CORP to extend past the normal time limit.  However, please do all you can to finish on time.

Also, emotions tend to run higher during the playoffs.  Managers, please maintain control over your players.

Let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks and good luck to all playoff teams.
