Tie Breakers for Playoffs

To clear up the tie breaker procedures that will come into play this week, here it is:

  1. Head to head competition between teams.
  2. Record against teams above standings of the teams tied.
  3. Least runs allowed in head to head competition between teams.
  4. Least runs allowed against teams above standings of the teams tied.

Between Sheridan and Kaneohe, if the teams are tied at the end of the regular season, Kaneohe swept the season series and holds the first tie-breaker.

Between Manoa, McCully and Mililani, Manoa split its season series against McCully and Mililani, and McCully swept the season series against Mililani.  Therefore, McCully owns the first tie breaker against Mililani.

In the current standings, Manoa’s record in the second tie breaker is 1-6, McCully is 2-5 and Mililani is 1-8.

Hope this helps, tonight’s results should provide some clarity on seeding.  Let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks, good luck tonight.
