Kaneohe defeated Ewa 5-4 tonight (Tuesday 02-23-16) to clinch the #3 seed in the Oahu AJA Baseball Championship Tournament.
The Oahu AJA Baseball Championship Tournament will start Sunday, February 28 at Hans L’Orange with the Single Elimination First Round games. The first game at 10 a.m. is #4 Sheridan against #5 Manoa. Sheridan won the first game 12-3 and the two teams tied this past Sunday 10-10. The second game at 1 p.m. is #3 Kaneohe against #6 McCully. Kaneohe and McCully split the series with a 19-5 win for Kaneohe and a 4-3 win for McCully. The two winners advance to the Super Round while the losers are done for the year.
On Wednesday, March 2, the Super Round (Best of Three) begins with #1 Waipahu hosting the lowest remaining seed at Hans L’Orange and #2 Waialae hosting the highest remaining seed at Ala Wai. On Thursday, the teams will rematch in the best of three series with the If Necessary games on Sunday, March 6 @Hans L’Orange.
