Devin Iwahashi singled home Dan Gushiken with two outs in the top of the 9th inning with the go ahead run as Hawaii Island stunned Maui rallying from five runs down in the 8th inning to win 9 – 8. Hawaii Island benefited from three consecutive walks to start the rally in the 8th inning and Alton Penrose singled home two runs. In the top of the 9th, after a Maui double play, Hawaii Island got RBI singles from Ryder Oshiro, Jordan Jinbo and Iwahashi to rally for the win. Oshiro led Hawaii Island with three hits including two doubles. Maui was led by Mo Lau Hee with three hits and Royce Fukuroku scored three runs.
