Waipahu AJA 2025-26 lost to Sheridan AJA 2025-26 5-1 on Wednesday at Hans L’Orange Park – Baseball Field.

Sheridan AJA 2025-26 got on the board in the top of the third inning after Jarred Yara tripled, scoring two runs, Sean Tanaka singled, scoring one run, and Joey Maekawa singled, scoring one run.

Yara earned the win for Sheridan AJA 2025-26. The starter gave up one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out six and walking four. Shaun Kiriu took the loss for Waipahu AJA 2025-26. The starter went seven innings, giving up five runs (four earned) on 11 hits, striking out seven and walking four.

Skyler Yamamoto went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Waipahu AJA 2025-26 had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. Justin Protacio and Chevas Numata led the team with two bases on balls each.

Sheridan AJA 2025-26 piled up 11 hits in the game. Yara provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Sheridan AJA 2025-26 with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 2-for-5 on the day. Tanaka led Sheridan AJA 2025-26 with three hits in five at bats. Tanaka stole two bases.

Waipahu AJA 2025-26 will travel to Pearl City AJA 2025-26 for their next game on Sunday.
