Waialae AJA 2025-26 Cannot Hold Onto Lead Versus McCully AJA 2025-26

Despite leading by as many as four runs, Waialae AJA 2025-26 fell to McCully AJA 2025-26 11-7 on Thursday at Hans L’Orange Park – Baseball Field.
McCully AJA 2025-26 got on the board in the top of the first inning after Ryllen Abeshima singled down the left field line, and Andy Uehara hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
In the bottom of the second inning, Waialae AJA 2025-26 went back into the lead after Jaryn Nakamoto singled, Jordan Kurokawa walked, and Gavin Okada walked, each scoring one run.
McCully AJA 2025-26 flipped the game on its head in the top of the fifth, scoring nine runs on seven hits to take the lead, 11-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Fukuki that drove in two.
Okada stepped on the mound first for Waialae AJA 2025-26. The pitcher surrendered nine hits and 10 runs over four and one-third innings, striking out six and walking five. Remi Davenport led things off on the bump for McCully AJA 2025-26. The starter gave up two hits and four runs over three innings, striking out one and walking five.
Okada provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Waialae AJA 2025-26 with two runs batted in. Drayson Ito, Nakamoto, and David Chu each collected one hit for Waialae AJA 2025-26. Waialae AJA 2025-26 had a strong eye at the plate, collecting 11 walks for the game. Ito and Tyler Nitahara led the team with three free passes each. Ito and Kurokawa each stole multiple bases for Waialae AJA 2025-26. Waialae AJA 2025-26 ran wild on the base paths, tallying seven stolen bases for the game. Waialae AJA 2025-26 were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Nitahara made the most plays with nine.
McCully AJA 2025-26 collected 12 hits in the game. Abeshima and Fukuki were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for McCully AJA 2025-26. Fukuki provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led McCully AJA 2025-26 with four runs batted in. The right fielder went 3-for-4 on the day. Dru Ashimine and Jake Fujita each collected multiple hits for McCully AJA 2025-26. Kainoa Tsuye led McCully AJA 2025-26 with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Ashimine stole three bases. McCully AJA 2025-26 stole six bases in the game.
