David Torigoe pitched a complete game giving up one unearned run and scattering nine hits to lead #1 Waipahu to a 5-1 victory over #2 Waialae on Sunday at Hans L’Orange Field. Leadoff hitter Jordan Oshiro had three hits for Waipahu and scored two runs while Derek Nakasato had three hits for Waialae.
Waipahu will go for the championship of the Oahu AJA Baseball League Championship Tournament in game 2 on Wednesday, March 9, 7 p.m. at Hans L’Orange. Waialae needs a win Wednesday night to force a winner take all game on Thursday.
