PLAYOFF update

A great day of AJA Baseball as four games had direct bearing on the standings.  The marquee matchup was a doubleheader between first place Waialae and second place McCully and the day ended with the teams in the exact position they started the day as they split both games.

Over at Hans L’Orange, Sheridan defeated Mililani and Waipahu defeated Pearl City.  Here are playoff scenarios for each team as we head into the final four games of the season:

Ewa – Will clinch the #6 seed in the championship tournament with a win over Kaneohe on Wednesday.  Ewa can clinch the #5 seed with victories over Kaneohe and Pearl City and a Sheridan loss to Kaneohe.

Kaneohe – Will clinch the #6 seed in the championship tournament with victories over Ewa and Sheridan and an Ewa loss to Pearl City.

Manoa – Season over.

McCully – Will clinch the top seed in the championship tournament with a win over Mililani on Wednesday.  Will fall to the #2 seed with a loss or tie to Mililani.

Mililani – Final game of the season on Wednesday against McCully.

Pearl City – One game remaining against Ewa, has clinched the #3 seed in the championship tournament and will face Waipahu on Sunday, February 24, 1 p.m. at Ala Wai Field.

Sheridan – Will clinch the #5 seed in the championship tournament with win over Kaneohe or an Ewa loss to Kaneohe or Pearl City.  Will fall to the #6 seed with a loss to Kaneohe and Ewa victories over Kaneohe and Pearl City.

Waialae – Regular season over, will secure the top seed in the championship tournament with a McCully loss or tie to Mililani.  Will fall to #2 seed with a McCully win over Mililani.

Waipahu – Regular season over, has secured the #4 seed in the championship tournament and will face Pearl City on Sunday, February 24, 1 p.m. at Ala Wai Field.
