Waialae 7 – 3 Kaneohe 01/12/14 (Sun) @Hans

Waialae broke open a close game in the 7th inning scoring 5 runs in a 7 to 3 victory over Kaneohe.  Waialae 1st baseman Kainoa Ah Sing drove in the go-ahead run in the decisive 7th inning.  Waialae pitcher Brandon Ikeda pitched 4 perfect innings to start the game, finally allowing a Kaneohe baserunner in the 5th inning on his own error.  Kaneohe’s Pono Chang matched Ikeda’s pitching effort and held hard hitting Waialae to 2 runs and 3 hits over 6+ innings.  Kaneohe broke the no-hitter in the 6th inning with 3 hits to score 2 runs and take the lead on a single by outfielder Billy Kerkau before  Waialae’s 7th inning run scoring explosion.
