Oahu AJA Playoffs Are Set … Finally

After 71 games, 906 combined runs, 79 days, 37 rain outs and 2 forfeits…the playoffs are set.

 

Last night, Pearl City defeated Sheridan, 9-6 eliminating Sheridan from playoff contention, boosting Ewa into the sixth and final spot and securing the #3 seed for Pearl City and bumping Waialae into the #4 spot.

 

Here are your six playoff teams:

1.  Waipahu 14-2, 28 points

2.  McCully 10-5-1, 21 points

3.  Pearl City 9-5-2, 20 points (owns head to head tie-breaker over Waialae)

4.  Waialae 9-5-2, 20 points

5.  Mililani 7-8-1, 15 points

6.  Ewa 7-9, 14 points

 

The schedule for the opening round of the playoffs is as follows:

Game 1:  #4 Waialae vs. #5 Mililani, Thursday, March 6, 7 p.m., CORP#4

Game 2:  #3 Pearl City vs. #6 Ewa, Thursday, March 6, 7 p.m., Hans L’Orange

 

Winners will advance to play either #1 Waipahu or #2 McCully on Friday, March 7, 7 p.m. at either CORP#4 or Hans L’Orange and losing teams are eliminated.

 

Waialae owns the head to head match up against Mililani with one tie and a victory.

Pearl City has two wins over Ewa this year, outscoring Ewa 22-7 this year.
