Oahu AJA Baseball Waipahu Can’t Hold Up Against Oahu AJA Baseball McCully

Oahu AJA Baseball Waipahu had trouble keeping up with Oahu AJA Baseball McCully in an 18-5 loss on Thursday.
Oahu AJA Baseball McCully took an early lead in the first inning. Mason Suga singled on the first pitch of the at bat in the first inning, scoring one run.
After Oahu AJA Baseball McCully scored one run in the top of the seventh, Oahu AJA Baseball Waipahu answered with one of their own. Oahu AJA Baseball McCully scored when Jacob Wong hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run. Oahu AJA Baseball Waipahu then answered when James Okano induced Kramer Aoki to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
Oahu AJA Baseball Waipahu evened things up at one in the bottom of the first inning. Alika Kuraoka drove in a run when he walked with the bases loaded.
Oahu AJA Baseball McCully took the lead for good with eight runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Carlton Tanabe singled off of David Torigoe, driving in two runs, Alvin Estes singled off of Torigoe, driving in two runs, Shayne Nakata singled off of Torigoe, driving in two runs, and Jared Seminara singled off of Torigoe, driving in one run.
Oahu AJA Baseball Waipahu scored three runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Landon Taga and a error.
Oahu AJA Baseball McCully scored eight runs in the fifth inning. Oahu AJA Baseball McCully‘s big inning was driven by a triple by Tanabe, a single by Andy Uehara, a single by Nakata, a single by Seminara, and a single by Rylen Yamamoto.
Okano earned the win for Oahu AJA Baseball McCully. He tossed seven innings, giving up five runs, seven hits, and striking out five. Torigoe took the loss for Oahu AJA Baseball Waipahu. He pitched four innings, allowing nine runs, nine hits, and striking out six.
