Pearl City evened things up at three in the bottom of the fifth inning when Waylen Sing Chow doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
Shaun Kiriu earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Waipahu . He allowed two hits and three runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Chevas Numata threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Numata recorded the last five outs to earn the save for Waipahu.
Nolan Kometani took the loss for Pearl City . He went one-third of an inning, allowing one run on one hit, striking out one and walking zero.
Daven Hermosura started the game for Pearl City . He allowed seven hits and three runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out three. David Torigoe started the game for Waipahu . He allowed four hits and three runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three.
